Bart Ramakers – In illo tempore

We live with a number of myths, such a romantic love. Things we instinctively believe in. I construe these myths and ask myself what this really is about, what we are really doing. Like with the couple in The Last Waltz: it’s about the blind search based on what has been handed down, on the myths and customs which we sometimes simply copy from our parents. I try to unravel these myths to better understand them. With little pinpricks. With my images I try to create a world in which I stack all these little insights, like bricks. I can only hope that the outcome is a structure that makes sense.
